VGA over CAT-X

CIE Group are one of the UK’s leading providers of professional AV equipment. Our range of VGA over CAT-X products allow standard VGA signals to be transmitted over much greater distances using standard Cat-X cable and our innovative signal transmission converters.

Where Should I Use VGA over CAT-X?

VGA remains one of the most commonly used signal formats alongside the more recent HDMI and HDBaseT formats. VGA is used to connect PC monitors and other computer related products, transmitting video pictures but not sound.

Our selection of VGA over CAT-X equipment includes receivers, transmitters and extenders for controlling VGA signals using CAT 5e/6 cabling. This includes DataBay transmitters which when used in conjunction with AVE receivers and transceivers can extend VGA plus audio signals by up to 300 metres.

We also have innovative mini VGA + Audio over CAT 5e/6 transmitters and receivers which one of the world's smallest available, transmitting and receiving VGA and Audio over CAT-X cable up to 180 metres. This is available as either a single receiver or transmitter, or as an extender kit which can do both.
