The Architect Standard CORE Start Reader, Pre-configured Wiegand 26 bits, is designed for installers and security professionals who require high-security access control without complexity. Delivered factory-configured, this reader connects directly to existing access control panels with no software, no setup, and no configuration required, significantly reducing installation time and project risk.
Built on MIFARE DESFire EV3 technology, the CORE Start reader provides robust protection against cloning, interception, and relay attacks using AES encryption, Secure Messaging EV2, key diversification, and Proximity Check. This ensures enterprise-grade security while remaining fully open and free from proprietary lock-in.
The reader supports both secure physical credentials and STid Mobile ID virtual cards, allowing organisations to deploy mobile access instantly via secure, one-time QR codes - without servers, user accounts, or ongoing licence fees. As requirements evolve, the reader can be seamlessly upgraded to CORE Plus or CORE Pro, protecting long-term investment without replacing hardware.
