The 2N 9160346 combined Touch Keypad & RFID Reader Independent Access Unit is equipped with a highly sensitive, capacitive touch digital keypad which enables access to a building via the entered PIN number or the RFID card reader with optional secured card for dual-access to a building/room.

The 9160346 offers compatibility with 2N's unique cryptographic solution PICard. PICard provides Protected Identity Credentials (PIC) built on the multi-application MIFARE® DESFire® technology.
The 2N 9160346 Access Unit's dual-authentication formats allow for one or both formats to be required for entry into a building. For instance, some Users may be required to identify using Keypad only, others with RFID only. In higher security applications, both user authentication formats may be required per user to gain access
The 9160346 multi-frequency Touch Keypad & RFID reader allows for the use of secured 13.56MHz new smart cards and unsecured 125kHz cards. The ability to use a choice of keypad (used via PIN code for access to the building as well as for calling individual users) or RFID card for entry, makes the system much more effective for those who need swift entry but also allows the flexibility for specified and temporary access to the compound without compromising security.
The brightness of the touchscreen can be adjusted to suit numerous locations and environments ensuring visibility even at night or in places with minimum lighting. A Silent alarm activation feature provides increased security.
The 2N 9160346 unit is designed for use indoors or in protected outdoor areas and is ideal for office buildings, residential complexes, hospitals, educational establishments, business centres, hotels and other accommodation, etc.
