The Contacta IL-EL42-PB is a surface-mount hearing induction loop system designed for use in conjunction with door entry/door intercom systems.
The latest British Standard -
BS 8300 - recommends that all door intercom/access systems should be fitted with an induction loop assistive hearing system in order to meet the guidelines for accessible & inclusive environments.
Where an induction loop system such as the IL-EL42-PB is fitted as part of a door entry/intercom system; this will ensure improved communication between both parties when the user has a hearing impairment and uses a hearing aid.
The induction loop will wirelessly transmit the audio from the door intercom to the user's hearing aid when it is switched to the 'T' (Telecoil) position.
