The Hyperstream USBTC118 USB Type C OTG Adapter (or 'On the Go' Adapter) is ideal for connecting next generation Android smartphones to standard USB Type A flash drives, pen drives and digital cameras.
This USB Type C OTG Adaptor will allow for the simple connectivity of USB Flash Drives for transfer, viewing and reading of files via any Android smart phone featuring the new USB Type C connector.
The USBTC118 OTG Adapter will also allow for periheral USB control devices - such as a full size wireless keyboard / mouse or a games console controller - to be connected to your USB Type C connected Android phone for easy and accurate control.
Furthermore, OTG (On the Go) connectivity will support communication between your smartphone and digital camera, allowing viewing, control and file transfer of images and video between your camera and phone.
What is the new USB Type C connector?
The new USB Type C Connector is much smaller than previous Type A and B versions and is now reversible so there’s no attempting to plug it in upside down!
The latest USB Type C features an increased pin configuration developed to support the latest USB versions 3.1 standard (Please note however, that the USBTC117 adapter only supports USB version 2.0 due to the Type A connector).
