The Architect Touchscreen & Scramble Keypad CORE Start Reader(Wiegand 26-bit) is part of the CORE Start range, designed to deliver enterprise-grade access control security without complexity. Factory pre-configured and ready to connect, this reader enables fast installation into existing access control systems while maintaining the highest levels of cryptographic protection.
Enhanced PIN security through a capacitive touchscreen scramble pad ensures that keypad layouts are randomly displayed, significantly reducing the risk of PIN code observation and replay attacks. Combined with secure card technologies, this makes the reader ideal for environments requiring both convenience and elevated authentication assurance.
Built around MIFARE DESFire EV3 technology, the reader leverages AES encryption, Secure Messaging EV2, key diversification, and Proximity Check to protect against cloning, interception, and relay attacks. With integrated support for STid Mobile ID virtual credentials, the reader is fully mobile-ready, allowing organisations to transition seamlessly from physical cards to smartphone-based access.
